Having made my valentines card for the year (although he won't be getting it unless he behaves) I've used things I love instead.

So there is blue, gingham buttons and even an ikkle cute bear on the Mo's Digital Pencil Image :c)

I've been having awful problems with blogger as well so please accept my apologies for not having popped over to see some of you - all I can see is your blog header - grrrrrr

Fairytale Friday

Thought I'd share the tutorial that I did for the Teddy Bo & Co blog today as I seem to have completely lost the ability to organise myself this week - that's what not going to work does for you!!!
I've not even managed my daily 4 mins 33 secs of Zumba this week (ok I'm a tad unfit!)

Am sure it must be hubby's fault for being here and causing Meltdown Monday rather than disappearing up to Scotland either Sunday afternoon or at stupid o'clock Monday morning - his car is fixed allegedly will see how long it  lasts this time
Anyway I've done the tutorial this week for a mini book style gift box
So what do you need?
Card to make the box - I've used a sheet of 12 x 12
Paper to decorate
Ribbon or lace
Teddy Bo Image - I've used TeddyBo_049 (the rubber stamp)
Scoreboard
Cut 2 pieces of card - one 6 1/2 inches square, the other 3 1/2 by 7 1/2
Score 1 inch and 2 inches from each side - these measurements will make you a box that is 2 1/2 inches square by 1 inch tall.
Cut away the corners as in the picture above to leave tabs and apply tape or glue then fold up into a double walled box.
Score the other piece of card 3 1/4 inches from each of the shorter ends to make the outside.
Then decorate as you wish.
I've used ribbon here to tie the box closed. I stuck it to the front of the box with tape then folded it up before attaching it to the back to make sure it would close without pulling too tight.
I've stuck the box into the cover using tape as I'm not very good with wet glue
Then all you need to do is fill it with treats. I originally made these to hold the favours at my wedding but Bo and Bea hadn't been born then so they had hearts on lol!
I hope you will have a go at making this - you can adjust the size by changing the measurements but make sure you allow enough for both sides before you cut your card - how many times have I done that making boxes???!!!???
Maybe you would like to enter one into our anything goes challenge which we still have running and don't forget to check and see if you're the lucky winner of one of the blog hop prizes.
Have a furry hugging week

Pink and Flowers for Teddy Bo Tuesday

Before we get onto this week's card and new release the winner of my blog hop furry friend is

Whimsical Whispers!!!!
Please drop the boss an email at support@teddybo.com to arrange your adoption lol!

This is the inside!
The outside - a little pink and a few flowers!
I cut part of the front off one of my scalloped card blanks with my new metal ruler and scary scalpel and tried to make it look like he was looking over the window box.

Images:
TEDDYBO_174 and bird and roses from TEDDYBOBEA_099
Paper: Dovecraft Back to Basics
Embossing: Cart-Us Rose folder
See I can do pink and flowers lol - the bird just hopped onto Bo's hand - no idea how that happened

As usual we have some new graphics this week including this Bo and our challenge is still anything goes:

Totally Useless.............

It's the first new moon of 2012 and time for my first TUSAL update.
I was hoping that all the yellow threads would have been finished by now but sadly the gingham border on the birth sampler is now becoming a bit of a chore.

The gingham offcuts are from a couple of cushions I've made with some stitching - a couple more to follow hopefully this week :c)

If you want to know more about TUSAL - go to Daffycat who explains it far better than I can.

PS the heading also applies to my hubby's company car - he has had it back for 10 days and it has broken down again this morning - he has found it perfectly acceptable to take mine and leave me stuck in here waiting for a hire car as he "has so much to do".
Strangely I think he would still be here waiting if I had my Peugeot 206 rather than the Audi and he completely ignored my request not to smoke in it as he had already lit up before he was out of the drive - he will just think it's funny!

Do I not Like Orange

No I don't or yellow either for that matter :c)
This card using TJ from Digistamp Boutique was going to be blue and white but I made myself use these papers - brownie point for me lol!

Wellies!!!

I thought I posted this yesterday but didn't!!!

This image was a freebie and long time ago from Fairy D and the papers were free earlier in the week from Jak Heath - there are some gorgeous Peony ones as well as the plaids.

Fairytale Dress Friday

Sometimes I make something that I love even though it's not cute and furry but it is my favourite colour.

The images are both Fairy D I used the dress before but in pink ***shudder***
The paper is K&Co and the buttons are a cuttlebug embossing strip folder.

There are lots of blue challenges around at the moment and I would like to enter:

And also:

Don't forget it's still anything goes at Teddy Bo - but don't forget to use a Teddy Bo image :c)

Happy Wednesday

No make from me today am still trying to complete the gingham border on grandbaby's birth sampler.
It's very effective but boring as hell to stitch.

The Teddy Bo DT keeping teasing me about flowers - I love flowers but don't use them on my cards very often but only because I'm absolutely hopeless with glue so unless I kept my cards laid down I just wouldn't be able to get them to stay put.

Any recommendations for what works well???
Off to pick up my car after it's MOT only a mile walk...............

Is this Vintage?

I was lucky enough to win at Elphine House last week so decided to dig out another of my much loved but sadly unused Elisabeth Belle stamps and join in again.

I have to admit that vintage confuses me so usually end up using kind of sludgy colours, lace, ribbon and pearls. saying that the sage green ribbon I've used is gorgeous and I got loads in an offcut bin in Boyes.

Challenges:

Papers: Memory Box
Sentiment: Label from Stitched Up
Stamp: Belles & Whistles Little Eden

Great for Offcuts

Same as the cards from the other day but a different sentiment and I used Rich Cocoa ink.

I've been published!!!!!

Firstly can I just give a huge wave to my new followers - thank you for clicking that button :c)
My new issue of Cross Stitch Crazy dropped through the letter box this afternoon - funny I thought that looks familiar lol

This is how he ended up looking very cute in red gingham - have I mentioned I absolutely adore gingham???

While I'm on the subject (loosely) of books and magazines I've just finished the latest Linwood Barclay and would have to say it is his best to date although Never Look Away was also brilliant.
I'm always reading something and sadly enjoy poking round in the library
What are you reading at the mo?

Happy Friday
