Thank Crunchie it's Friday

This little cutie sure has wings lol! This is the first time I've used this image and must say it was very easy to colour especially now I'm using Staples text and graphic paper for my images 'coz my reds no longer bleed - Whoop! Whoop!
These fantastic papers are a freebie from Shery K designs - there's a whole pack of them and the other collections are really inexpensive and print really well.

Don't forget you still have a few days to enter the things with wings challenge at Teddy Bo
and if you feel like getting messy there's Kathy's fantastic shabby chic tutorial this week as the Thursday Top Tip

Take 2 Bears

I rehomed this cute Bildmalarna stamp when Sarah decided she no longer wanted it. On this card I distressed some Memory Box paper and some pearl cardstock with my cross stitch thread cutter (works like the Tim Holtz distresser but more cost effective)

Then I decided to try something different with it:
DCWV pink christmas paper, Spellbinders Ironwork dies a few gems and a tiny star punch that I found when tidying up.

The same stamp but 2 completely different looks

Teddy bo Tuesday gives you wings

We're into the 2nd week of the Things with Wings challenge and I've cheated a bit here even after all our colouring tutorials and used a ready coloured version of Wish Upon a Star. Looks great with the First Edition up and away papers and a recent sketch from Crafty Catz though.

We also have some fabby new graphics for you again this week - check out the brilliant sleigh one

School at I Did it Creations

It's school at I Did it Creations this week and quite sad for me as I am stepping down from the Design Team as I just don't have time at the moment with packing up my house to relocate to Scotland. I've used a brilliant digi from our sponsor Floppy Latte designs for my mini scrap page of my tall child in her big school uniform.

Teddy Bo Tuesday Again!

Whatever next a flying Olliphant - he's new today from Teddy Bo - I had to use him coz I asked for him and would have been on the naughty step (again) otherwise - not much of a hardship though lol! So I've been singing when I see an elephant fly from dumbo maybe with the correct words.
Here he is on the card floating over my MME Fine and Dandy papers with balloons made using a Woodware punch - it's amazing how many things I've dug up in my clear out. It's a new challenge today and the theme is things with wings.
If you want to get your paws on some new fur and friends we have some great new releases this week including some coloured ones that are great when you just want to throw something together.

Teddy Bo Tuesday

Oops I'm running late today mainly coz we had no internet last night. Fortunately it's back now as I'm working from home today and that would make it a tad difficult. It's the second week of our say it with flowers challenge over at Teddy Bo and we have some gorgeous new images this week again too.
I've used one of last weeks precoloured ones for my card and rather than add flowers I've used patterned paper and a flower embossing folder.

More Christmas

Another new stamp but a Meljen's digi this time - I'm still working my way down my pile of new rubber and clear stamps but it seems to have grown a little this week - oops :c)
I found the paper and the flower sequins which I think came from Meljens during my continuing tidy up.

Teddy bo Tuesday - say it with Flowers

Fortunately Bo had these tulips handy to say it with flowers for our challenge this fortnight coz if I tried using those gorgeous mulberry paper flowers it would look like a bull wearing welding gloves had thrown them onto my card :c)
Bo decided he wanted to be the centre of attention so jumped out of the printer extra large and only just fit on the card. You can just about see the First Edition papers peering out from behind him.
We also have some new fabby designs in the store for you this week
Doesn't Bo in his big bears camo look so cute :c) If you hop over to the challenge blog you'll see what the rest of team have for you this week and you might even see some of those proper flowers :c)
Challenges:

Some new stamps

Rainmac keeps using this little guy and yet again I had him uninked  in my stamp box - but no longer lol!
Last weeks purchase was a set of Kanban stamps that I've had my eye on for ages - heres one
Very cute even if I say so myself - I have made a new rule any new stamps that come into the house have to be used before they're put away - I have a small cairn on my table at the mo - oops

I would like to enter the bottom one into the Lets Ink it Up DT call
Humphrey is already in the Charisma Facebook competition this week

Sunday 4 September 2011

Up and away

I saw this cute little guy on a card on Rainmac's place a few days ago and realised I had him sat uninked so dug him out - I even used her paper piecing idea - thanks Sarah!

The layout is from Sketch saturday
I'd also like to enter him into stamptacular as I don't normally paper piece.
and into the first challenge at Crafting When We Can which is anything goes

Don't faint but we have been cooking this morning - good way to empty stuff out of kitchen cupboards without filling the bin :) The pieces missing were for quality control purposes lol!

Girly at I did It Creations

Ah well another week gone and it's started getting chilly in the mornings but the kids are back to school this week - phew!!!! We're going all girly over at I Did it Creations this week and I've used this fab image from this weeks sponsor who is Kelley's Kids

Making it with Meslyn - monochrome embossing

Yesterday's card was missing the embossing - note to self read the full description before making your card - still I got to play with my other little Dilly Beans bear friend.
So we have a challenge of Monochrome Embossing this month and I've used the only shade of that colour beginning with P that I like lol! The paper and embellies are all craftwork cards from Meslyn Crafts
