Mojo Monday

I'm so glad I found the Mojo Monday blog - this sketch gave me just the excuse I need to try out my nesties and there's always a need for a bear!.
Paper is My Mind's Eye Bloom and grow and found a piece of silver sparkly card lurking in my stash.
A pink card for someone who loves pink and will be getting a hamper of pink things to go with it!

Crafty Creations Sketch & Cute Card Thursday

Cute Card Thursday's theme is eye eye (for eyelets) this week so added some to this challenging sketch from Crafty Creations this week.
I think I made it more difficult for myself as I desperately wanted to use my new Wild Asparagus papers.
Anyhoo I think my step daughter will like it as she is horse mad and has just bought some chickens :c)

Crafty Place July swap - Pockets

Crafty place swap for July was pockets. I used some gorgeous Chatterbox double sided card stock that I got in the sale at Papermaze and layered it up to make 2 pockets.
Tilda and the sentiment are both on tags that slip into the pockets some mulberry paper flowers a brad and a couple of gems finished it off.

Pink Elephant - Animals

My cousin's wife has just had twin boys - they now have 3 boys who's names start with A B and C!
I don't know how I would manage without Rainmac sending me stmped images so here are the baby little cotton rabbits on a pocket card.
I'd never tried this colour combo before but really love it. The backing paper has been sat in my stash for ages I found it the other day during my latest tidy up.
I layered the rabbits up on 3 circles cut with my new nesties - I'm seriously addicted now :c)

Pollycraft sketch and Funky Fairys girly

I combined challenges for this one as I'm fresh out of layout ideas at the mo!
Image is a yummy cupcke from the lovely Rainmac colored and with stickles on the icing to give it a bit of sparkle, then layered onto swiss dot embossed card.
Papers are 2 different colours from Funky Fairys simply brushed and the background is the gorgeous double delights

Creative Card Crew & Sketch and Stash

I decided to combine the Creative Card Crew polkadots challenge with this fab sketch from sketch and stash.
The spotty paper is offcuts from last years Christmas cards (Papermania contemporary christmas) mounted onto some navy linen card offcuts from my bits box. Layered up the stamp by Autumn leaves added some flowers and brads from my stash and finished it off with my new thank you stamp although I didn't use the whole image the middle bit is at the top left and the bottom bit at the bottom right. The grey background paper is embossed with swiss dots :c)

The 3 Hour Card!

I learnt the hard way with this one that simple an effective does not equal quick lol!
This took me 3 hours all together when I should have been able to lick it and stick in about 10 mins no matter what I did it just wouldn't balance growl.
Paper was from a crafty palce stash swap and the sentiment is embossed with the congratulations cuttlebug folder but chopped about a bit :c)

Crafty Place July ATC swap

I can post this now I know it's arrived.
I set the theme this month and it was noses - this digi image from Pollycraft has such a cute button nose!
Those ribbons just didn't want to join in and refused to lay flat :cP

MSE Thank you Card and Mojo Monday #95

It's an embossed thank you over at MSE this fortnight - so used both dry and wet embossing.
The stamp is a CRM style one by Heritage stamps that I picked up in a bargain bin and was supposed to be used for my wedding thank yous but I cheated and bought ones with the wording already on them.
Background is my minds eye doubles sided card that I got in the sale at Papermaze the reverse is the strip at the bottom embossed with swiss dots and scalloped using bargain £1 scissors.
The rest of the card is core'dinations nostalgia and black magic sanded to show up the victoria embossing (another of this weeks buys)

The layout itself is from Mojo Monday - it's a brilliant sketch which I think I'll be using again.

Funky Fairys #25

Brilliant sketch over at Funky Fairy this week.
Papers are simply brushed and a striped one embossed with swiss dots (guess what I bought this week) plus the gorgeous doodamentals - everyone should have these plus they're free!
Bear stamp is Whipper Snapper Lil standing teddy from Tabbycrafts and good luck was free with do crafts mag

Funky Fairys #24 and Allsorts #9

The Funky fairy challenge this week was a real challenge as it was a recipe needing 4 papers - I only normally use a maximum of 3!.
Fortunately there is a sketch at Allsorts this week that I could use.
Paper's are Funky Fairy Funky's Garden and Simply Brushed and the image was one sent to me

Sunday Sketch and Stash - Challenge #6

I wanted to cheer a friend up so made another folder for some stamped images.
The paper is from one of the Papermania inspirations pads. Image is one I got from eBay and the ribbon strip and daisies were free with the docrafts magazine a couple of issues back. Rainmac to the rescue with another scalloped circle with a doodle edging with one of DD's pens

MSE July challenge - 1 colour

This month's challenge on Crafty Place was to use one colour - think it should have been a card but I needed a couple of notebook covers so made them instead

The notebooks were 59p for a pack of 6 at The Range. Stamp is by Autumn leaves from The Glitterpot and pearlescent card from stash is embossed with the You cuttlebug folder. The label is from the new Quickutz set.

The second picture shows them in the boxes I made with My Minds Eye cardstock together with a nail file pen and 2 Soap and Glory minis bought in the Boots offer before Xmas.
They are now wrapped in cello bags ready to give to DD's teachers on Friday

Charisma Cardz Challenge #27 - Alter it

I'd been saving a Peroni Beer carrier for ages to decorate for my mum's birthday hamper so it was ideal for this weeks challenge on Charisma Cardz

The papers are Papermania Sweet Nothing's 12x12 with an image from eBay and the calendar was a freebie from the wonderful Rainmac.

Here it is filled with goodies.

MSE Christmas Challenge

The Challenge over on MSE this fortnight was Xmas!
I had to rethink my original idea as the papers and stamp had already been used by other people - lol!
Papers are spots by my favourite Funky Fairys seeing spots The sentiment is a Debbie Moore one that I wombled in a bargain bucket for £1. Stamp from Ebay and snowflake from DD's stash.

Dare U 2 digistamp #14

This week the theme was embossing so in my usual OTT way I used both dry and wet embossing on an anniversary card for BIL and SIL.
The cutey bears are from Digistamp boutique The stamp is a large Anita's one (I think) and the pearlised card is embossed using the script folder for the cuttlebug. All layered up onto a sheet from one of the Papermania Inspirations pads which is actually brown with some added brads and a couple of gems.

Funky Fairys - Challenge 23

This weeks theme was "Beach" so just had to use this cute doggy image from Digi stamp boutique.
The background is one of our Goa holiday pictures mounted on some bright yellow card.

I used Doodamentals as backing and added a flower from the same free range then made it into a folder containing some stamped images to send to a friend as a thank you.

Crafty Place altered item

There was an extra challenge on Craftyplace this month to alter an item - this box used to be a desk calendar and is now a christening card for my friend's grandson.
Papers are Funky Fairys seeing spots. Images are from Digi stamp boutique and I found the poem during a google search for Christening verses. I just need to add a photo of him to the inside and it will be finished
